When Arma, Kansas’ World War II veterans returned home, they threw a community wide party. The event has perpetuated into a well-loved festival for more than 75 years.

8/9 80 & OUT - Long live rock!
Joplin-based 80 & Out dons the long locks for their 80s tribute of rock music from 8 to 10:30 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 9, at the Arma VJ Homecoming grandstand for this free show. Inflatables carnival, along with food trucks and beverages available.
8/9 Grand Parade
Kids gets the party started with the 3rd annual Children's parade at 9:45 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 9. The veteran-led parade by American Legion Post 182 follows at 10 a.m. for its 79th consecutive year.
Run for Our Veterans 5K
Join us 7:30 am Saturday, August 9, for the 3rd annual Run for Our Veterans 5K. Race start will be near 5th and Washington streets, near the southeast corner of Arma City Park. Proceeds from the race benefit Post 182 to pay for cost of specialists' travel to help veterans with benefits and healthcare. $30 entry fee and first 50 entries receive a T-shirt. Register below!
